PROGRAM CAMP RAH-RAH 2005

    Nation-wide NGO Youth CAN (Community Action Network) announces that
    applications forms for YOUTH COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM CAMP RAH-RAH 2005
    are available online at www.ycan.org
    During Camp Rah – Rah students and young activists (aged 16-28) from
    all over Ukraine will go through intensive week-long program and take
    part in five of ten classes offered:
    
    * Leadership,
    
    * Civic Responsibility,
    
    * Gender Issues,
    
    * Environment,
    
    * Sexual Health,
    
    * Critical Thinking,
    * Debate,
    * Understanding Diversity,
    * Journalism,
    
    * Sports
    
    
    
    There will be approximately twelve students per class. In addition,
    there will be several large group activities throughout the day
    focusing
    on teamwork, creative problem solving, responsibility, leadership and
    trust.
    
    Working language of the Rah-Rah Camp and following trainings is
    English. Classes are facilitated by Youth CAN alumni and Peace Corps
    Ukraine
    volunteers. Participation fee is USD 30.
    
    
    
    Camp Rah-Rah 2005 is to be held in two sessions:
    
    July 24 – July 30 Session 1
    
    July 31 – August 6 Session 2
    
    
    
    Deadline for applications: May, 15th 2005
    
    
    
    After the retreat, the participants will implement local projects with
    the help of Project Assistants. Three weekend trainings will
    supplement knowledge from the retreat and aid participants in
    completing their
    projects. The program also includes 3 following training throughout a
    year and is a 12 month commitment.
