    *** Between 15 October and 6 November the British Council Ukraine and Centre of Contemporary Art supported by Royal Netherlands Embassy in Kiev, Goethe-Institute in Kyiv, French Cultural centre, The Royal Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, World Bank's Mission in Ukraine, Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine, The International Renaissance Foundation present a unique World Press Photo exhibition.
    World Press Photo is an independent, non-profit organization, founded in 1955 in the Netherlands, and committed to supporting and promoting on a wide international scale the work of professional press photographers. Over the years, World Press Photo has evolved into an independent platform for photojournalism and the free exchange of information. Besides managing the extensive exhibition program, the organization runs a number of educational projects.
    World Press Photo is sponsored worldwide by Canon and TNT.
