    press conference held today 11 am, the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine today issued this clarification on the state of play concerning the market economy status for Ukraine:
    “The European Commission has reached positive conclusions on Ukraine’s request for Market Economy Status. The process of consulting the Council of Ministers is now underway. While the formal decision making process is lengthy the Commission hopes that a positive decision in principle will be taken in time for the EU-Ukraine summit.”
