    A round table Through Efficient Use of Energy to Environmentally Friendly and Competitive Economy will take place on 15 May 2007 at 9:00 in the Academy of Science of Ukraine White Conference hall.
    Energy drives economy and makes our life convenient. By means of energy consuming equipment we communicate and visit each other in any point of the earth. But energy rises concern on future of our planet. Global warming and as a result climate change is in the agendas of politicians and must come for everybody of us as well. Combined Europe’s energy, environmental and transport policy aims to reduce energy consumption through development of technology and behaviour change of Europeans and the Ukrainians are welcome in this common movement for environmentally friendly future of planet and living space.
    The event is fully dedicated to the energy efficiency trends in Europe and Ukraine, convergence of different sector policies and analysis of proposed legal initiatives and impact assessment as essential part of the process. For this reason UEPLAC invited a wide range of participants from ministries, other central bodies of executive power and specialists in energy sector.
    The latest trends among Member States will be presented by UEPLAC Key expert on Energy, Environment, Transport and Telecommunications Mr Juris Ozolins, Special Advisor of EC Energy Commissioner, Ms Mariya Mala, Director of the Legal Department of the National Agency for Efficient Use of Energy Resourses and Mr Victor Bilodid, Head of the Division, Institute of Overall Energy.
