EU Delegation’s information activities in Mykolaiv and Yuzhnoukrainsk

September 28, 2018.

    On 1 – 3 October 2018, experts of the EU Delegation to Ukraine will pay an official visit to Mykolaiv and Yuzhnoukrainsk, where the following information activities are planned to be held:
    What? Presentation on open calls for EU grants and projects
    When? 1 October, 13:00 – 14:30
    Where? Mykolaiv, Oleksandrivskiy Hotel (25, Nikolska str.), press-center
    For whom? Representatives of non-governmental organizations; citizens interested in applying for EU grants and projects.
    During the presentation long-term EU educational, youth, cultural and business programs and projects, that are available for Ukraine at least until 2020, will be presented, as well as cooperation opportunities. Among them are Horizon 2020, Creative Europe, Culture Bridges, Erasmus+, eTwinningPlus, COSME, EU4Business, etc. Special attention will be also paid to EU Delegation’s initiative Team Europe Mykolaiv and EU Information Centre in Mykolaiv based at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

    What? Training for NGOs ‘Language of grant applications and tenders: how to understand the donor?’
    When? 1 October, 15:00 – 18:00
    Where? Mykolaiv, Oleksandrivskiy Hotel (25, Nikolska str.), press-center
    For whom? Representatives of newly formed NGOs; those who are planning or in the process of establishing NGOs; those who are eager to improve the skills of working with donors. The training focuses on non-governmental organizations that are just starting out or eager to improve the skills of submitting grant applications for EU contests, improving communication with the donor, and for those who may benefit from the training due to their social activities. Among the topics to be covered: - the terminology of grant applications and tenders; - who are donors and the principles of effective communication with them; - types of grant assistance; - how to understand the needs of donor and reflect it in application; - budgeting principles. Participants are expected to consider real examples of EU grant competitions and practical tasks/Trainer: Oleh Kulinich, Kharkiv Regional Institute of Public Administration.

    What? Brain-ring for youth on the European Union
    For whom? Students, schoolchildren, active youth
    When? 2 October, 12:30 – 14:00 Where? Yuzhnoukrainsk, Secondary school № 3, (5, Tsvitochnyy blvd)
    When? 3 October, 12:00 – 13:30 Where? Mykolaiv, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University (10, 68 Desantnykiv str.)
    Brain-ring on the European theme is a game for students and schoolchildren, that is aimed at helping young people to improve their knowledge of European history, its political, economical, cultural life, feel the team spirit and develop analytical skills in an interactive way.

    When? 2 October, 15:30 – 17:00 Where? Yuzhnoukrainsk, Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council, big conference hall (9, Tsvitochnyy blvd)
    For whom? Youth, activists, educators, NGOs, entrepreneurs, interested citizens.
    During the presentation long-term EU educational, youth, cultural and business programs and projects, that are available for Ukraine at least until 2020, will be presented, as well as cooperation opportunities. Among them are Horizon 2020, Creative Europe, Culture Bridges, eTwinning Plus, Erasmus+, EU Study Days, COSME, EU4Business, etc.
    What? Workshop for local business representatives ‘How to find a business partner in the European Union?’
    When? 3 October, 15:00 – 18:00
    Where? Mykolaiv, Business Support Center (51/1, Potiomkinska str.),1st floor
    Main topics: - benefits of deep and comprehensive free trade area; - opportunities of COSME (Competiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises), the European SME support programme; - advantages of the Enterprise Europe Network as a tool in finding partners abroad; - consulting support and assistance in working with international markets from Business Support Centre in Mykolaiv; - practical advice on entering the European market and finding business partners from local entrepreneurs and specialist who are already working successfully in the EU market.
    Key experts of the workshop: Mykola Chaika, Expert of Enterprise Europe Network/Nataliya Vashchylenko, Director of Business Support Centre in Mykolaiv/Olena Kolomoytseva, Project manager of International Trade Center.
